Holy Conversation --Part Two...

Rather than entering into prayer with our agendas or to get what we want from God. Rather than entering into prayer out of a sense of duty or out of guilt.  We can see prayer as growing and tending a garden... the gardens of our souls, where we know things take time to grow and bloom and we are constantly mindful of the future beauty, asking Jesus what he wants to do. 

Cut to the Heart

God does not desire a people who simply feel guilty or regretful.

God desires a people who are active in reorienting their lives, turning around, and setting their sights on God again.

The Cave

"The cave you are most afraid to enter is where your deepest treasure lies." Joseph Campbell. 

God doesn't promise to take away the uncomfortable feelings of fear. He also doesn't seek to remove the challenges from our path. God promises his presence in the midst of it so that we can say, "Why should I be afraid?"

Fuel for Future Faithfulness

If Saul can find freedom, acceptance, forgiveness and a calling in God's kingdom, you can too.
